Research area:

Research in the Department focuses on cell biochemistry, plant biochemistry, and biophysics. Cytotoxicity studies of selected substances, mainly metallic nanoparticles, are conducted using animal cell lines. In vitro plant cell cultures and hydroponic plant cultivation are used to study abiotic stress and to search for potential protectants.
